The main services provided by the department include clinical blood use management, clinical blood supply (with blood components such as suspended red blood cells, leukodepleted red blood cells, washed red blood cells, apheresis platelets, virus-inactivated plasma, fresh frozen plasma, frozen plasma, cryoprecipitate, Rh-negative blood products, and rare blood products), as well as blood transfusion compatibility testing, microcolumn gel card ABO forward and reverse typing, Coomb's test, RH(D) blood typing, platelet antibody screening and typing, irregular antibody screening, and other testing items. The various blood products provided to clinical departments by the department are uniformly supplied by the Shanghai Qingpu Blood Station or Shanghai Blood Center.
